Welcome to My Walk for 1 in 100 fundraising page
Thank you for visiting my Walk for 1 in 100 personal fundraising page.
I am an advanced practice provider who proudly provides care for adults with congenital heart disease (CHD) at Connecticut Children's, in our CT Adult Congenital Heart (CTACH) program.
CHD is the most common birth defect with about 1 in 100 babies born with CHD each year and more than 2.5 million people living CHD across the country. Unfortunately CHD research and programs are severely underfunded. Since 1998, the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) has been empowering and advocating for those impacted by CHD with a mission focused to advance access to resources and specialized care to improve patient outcomes. The ACHA funds adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) specific research grants and is a leading organization in advocating for research at the federal level, has accredited 40+ ACHD programs across 25 states (including our own at Connecticut Children’s), and offers extensive educational tools.
In 2021, the ACHA is hosting walks in 11 communities to raise money for continued research, education, and outreach for the CHD community. Your participation in the ACHA’s Walk for 1 in 100 will help further our impact.
Where: Blue Back Square, 65 Memorial Rd, West Hartford CT 06107
Time: Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the walk kicks off at 9 a.m.
Please consider making a tax deductible contribution to support my fundraising efforts for the ACHA and/or joining my team "Hardy Hearts" for our walk in Blue Back Square. All funds raised benefit CHD research and programs.
I appreciate your support!
