Thank you for visiting my Walk for 1 in 100 personal fundraising page! As many of you may know, my cousin Amy is the 1 in 100 affected by a CHD and I am honored and proud to support her. We grew up together only three weeks apart in age but I didn't really understand the affects CHD not only had on her but also her family. The multiple surgeries and emotional toll it must have taken and likely continues to take today is something I pray less families will have to endure going forward.

Although Amy has been through more than most of us can imagine, she has never let her CHD define her or limit her from being the person she is.… an amazingly loving and caring, resilient, odds defining, fighter.  She inspires me! As an adult reflecting back and understanding some of what she has gone though, I want to do my tiny part in helping advance CHD research.

With Amy’s help, (inspired by her actions) I joined the 1 in 100 walk committee here in Arizona. It has been wonderful getting to know everyone and I feel blessed to have been welcomed into the community with open arms.

Although we are no longer in the same state and don’t get to see each other often, I’m lucky to have the relationship I do with a truly amazing woman. Love you Amo!
