Welcome to My Personal Page
Living with CHD is lifelong. There is no fix. My last open heart surgery (#4) was September 2019 and will most likely not be my last. There have been countless other surgeries and procedures but thanks to the dedication of adult congenital cardiologists (looking at you Dr. Landzberg), rock star surgeons (and Dr. Emani) and countless other doctors, nurses, PAs, and support staff, I have made it this far (55!) after my parents were told I may not make it at all.
For adults like me, navigating all things adult and a chronic illness, ACHA has been a shining star in what can sometimes be very dark nights. They advocate, support and provide resources and services to all CHD patients and just as important, their families. Your medical team is crucial while you navigate this world, but so is an organization that works tirelessly to make sure you know where to get appropriate care, find peer support, fund much needed research, and support the medical community and hospitals providing our care.
Please consider making a tax deductible contribution to support my fundraising efforts for the Adult Congenital Heart Association. All funds raised benefit CHD research and programs. I appreciate your support!
Thank you.
