Important update regarding COVID-19 and Walk for 1 in 100
Philadelphia: You spoke up and we listened! Despite not being able to walk in-person in April, we still want to walk with you. The Philadelphia Walk for 1 in 100 will now take place in the fall.
Philadelphia Walk for 1 in 100
Date: September 19, 2020
Location: Philadelphia Zoo
If you already registered and fundraised for the spring Philadelphia Walk for 1 in 100 or ACHA Your Way: Philadelphia, we are grateful for your support and hope to see you in the fall to honor your efforts in-person! With all previous registrations and funds raised carrying over to the new event date, this is a great opportunity to meet or raise your current fundraising goal.
If you have not yet registered for any of our 2020 Philadelphia Walk for 1 in 100 initiatives, here is your chance to walk and raise funds for the 1 in 100 children and adults impacted by congenital heart disease (CHD) across the country.
We are regularly monitoring the impact COVID-19 and local restrictions may have on hosting this event in-person. Your safety and health are our priority. As we get closer to the event date, if we cannot gather in-person for the Philadelphia Walk for 1 in 100 for any reason, we will gather virtually to celebrate your fundraising efforts. Details for a virtual event will be provided if necessary.
Will you join us?
Join us as we walk and raise funds for the 1 in 100 children and adults impacted by congenital heart disease (CHD) across the country. The Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) is devoted to supporting the full lifespan of the millions of people impacted by CHD. We host walks in communities across the country to raise money for outreach, education, research and more.
Our events are for everyone born with a heart defect, their loved ones and the medical community that cares for them. We’re here to educate parents on the lifelong specialized care their child will need, to support young adults through the transition to adult CHD care, and to empower adults to take an active role in their cardiac care. In partnership with healthcare providers, ACHA is elevating access and quality of care through accreditation and unraveling the mysteries of living with CHD through research.
We are here for the person with a newly diagnosed heart defect, as well as the patient who’s seen it all, and everything in between. We hope you’ll join us in raising funds and awareness for the 1 in 100 children and adults living with CHD.
